Volkswagen  has associated with Microsoft’s “Azure cloud computing” to create the Automated Driving Platform<\/b><\/p>\n

Volkswagen has announced a new “partner” to speed up the development of its autonomous driving systems, and that is Microsoft. The German automaker, which has previously collaborated with Microsoft earlier on cloud computing, is looking to make a qualitative jump into autonomous driving thanks to this partnership.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to reports, the main objective for Volkswagen is to combine its knowledge of autonomous driving systems with Microsoft’s “Azure cloud computing” to create the Automated Driving Platform (ADP).<\/span><\/p>\n

In fact, Volkswagen expects that ADP could be used for a number of different aspects, including ride-sharing, micro mobility or short-term rentals. To get its self-driving technology to the next level a huge amount of data is going to be needed so, according to Volkswagen, they will rely on Microsoft’s expertise “for computing, artificial intelligence and data capabilities”.<\/span><\/p>\n

For its part, Microsoft has explained through Scott Guthrie, executive vice president, Cloud + AI at Microsoft., that “The power of Microsoft Azure and its compute, data and AI capabilities will enable Volkswagen to deliver secure and reliable automated driving solutions to their customers faster,”.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t
